Carol recieved her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois, and her Master's degree in Reading Assessment and Instruction from Eastern Michigan University. She received her mindfulness training through Mindful Schools; completing their Mindfulness Fundimentals, Mindfulness K-12 Curriculum Training, and year long certification program.
Carol spent 20 years teaching 1st and 2nd grade in Michigan before becoming trained as a mindfulness instructor. She became concerned with the rising number of children coming to school with attentional and emotional issues severe enough to prevent them from achieving their true potential.
Carol has close family members who have or are currently struggling with bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, chronic pain, and substance abuse. She has seen first hand how mindfulness can help both patients and their caregivers/family members lead a more balanced, stress-free life.
Mindfulness has become an integral part of Carol's life, helping her both physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is her mission to bring mindfulness to others so that they may also find peace and balance in their lives.
